Position Overview
The Executive Director will report directly to the Board of Directors, overseeing daily operations and managing financial resources. The focus will be on economic development, with responsibilities including business recruitment, retention, and community growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives for business recruitment, retention, and expansion.
- Manage the Growth Assistance Program (GAP) and oversee grant applications.
- Collaborate on workforce, housing, and infrastructure projects.
- Supervise Chamber operations and staff, serving as Corporate Secretary to the Board.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (preferred).
- A minimum of five years of related leadership or economic development experience.
- Must reside in Shelby County upon acceptance.

Compensation
