Attorney

The County Attorney is the County’s Attorney and represents the State of Iowa in certain legal situations. Some of the County Attorney’s duties include prosecution of the county and state criminal cases, victim’s assistance, assist with the payment of fines, advising Shelby County departments and officers, juvenile services, prosecuting Child in Need of Assistance cases, representing applicants in involuntary commitments, and forfeit property connected to criminal activity.
